1 tbsp Olive Oil

2 Garlic Cloves, crushed

450g/1lb Fresh Green Beans, cut into 5cm/2 inch lengths

120ml/4fl.oz. Water

teasp Ground Allspice

Salt and Pepper




1. Heat the oil in a medium saucepan add the garlic and fry over a medium heat until lightly browned.


2. Add the green beans and water, and bring to a boil.


3. Stir in the allspice, salt, and pepper, cover and simmer 20 minutes or until the beans are tender. Drain well and serve hot.
