Anchovy Sauce for Beef
Hot Fish Savoury
tinned Anchovy Fillets
10 fl.oz Stock
pinch of Nutmeg
Rinse the anchovy fillets in cold water then dry, chop finely, coat well
with flour and
fry them in the butter until soft.
Add the stock, nutmeg, pepper and gherkins and simmer gently until slightly thickened.
Add the capers just before serving.
