Cucumbers in Sour Cream    Veg   CD   ACC   Polish 15mins plus chilling

Polish Name: Mizeria

Serves 4-6       Cold   Vegetarian   Vegetables  Herbs  Salad   Salads   Accompaniment   Gluten Wheat Free   Eggless   Poland   Eastern Europe

1 Medium Cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
240ml/8fl.oz. Sour Cream
The Juice of 1 Lemon
1 teasp Castor Sugar
2 teasp Freshly Chopped Dill
White Pepper


1. Place the sliced cucumber on a large platter, sprinkle with salt and allow to stand for 5 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, mix together the remaining ingredients.

3. Dry the cucumber slices with kitchen paper, removing as much of the water as possible then add to the sour cream dressing, mix lightly then refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
