175g/6oz Puff or Shortcrust
225g/8oz Sausages, skinned
Milk or beaten egg to glaze
Preheat the oven to 200C, 400F, Gas Mark 6.
Roll pastry into oblong about 20cm/8 inches long x 15cm/6 inches wide, then cut
in half lengthways.
You will have 2 oblongs 20cm/8 inches long
Place the sausages lengthways down the centre of each piece of pastry.
Brush the edges with milk or beaten egg then fold over to enclose the sausage.
Press the edges together firmly.
Brush with beaten egg or milk,
then cut into pieces 5cm/2 inches long.
Place on a baking sheet and bake for
15 minutes. Reduce the heat to 180C, 350F,
Mark 4 and continue to bake for a further 15 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
