Heston Blumenthal's Baked Alaska

Courtesy of

If you've ever watched Heston Blumenthal's TV series "In Search of Perfection" you'll know that some of the recipes featured aren't really doable in a normal kitchen. However, Heston has got together with Häägen Dazs to create a step-by-step guide to making the perfect Baked Alaska complete with audio instructions and pictures (see below).

This is a picture of the finished dish as served by Heston on  dry ice, but don't worry - you don't have to serve it as dramatically as this. A normal platter will do.

For the recipe and to hear the great man himself  give you straight-forward instructions covering every stage of the preparation and cooking, accompanied by photos,  click one of the links below or click  HERE to start at the beginning.  Don't forget to turn on your speakers/headphones and there may be a slight delay (a few seconds) in the page loading.

It really is fun and almost like having Heston right there with you in your own home.
