Makes 12        Cold  Vegetarian  Fruit  Biscuits  Cookies  Baked Fayre  Eggless



   75g/3oz Butter

   60ml/2fl.oz Golden Syrup

   75g/3oz Brown Sugar

   50g/2oz Cornflakes

   50g/2oz Desiccated Coconut

   50g/2oz Rolled Oats

   50g/2oz Pineapple, finely chopped




1. Preheat the oven to 180C, 350F, Gas Mark 4 and grease two shallow baking tins.


2. In a large saucepan, gently melt the butter, syrup and sugar.


3. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Mix well.


4. Transfer the mixture to the greased tins, pressing down well.


5. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Remove from the oven, cut into squares and leave to set (still in the tins).


6. Carefully remove the pieces from the tin and leave to cool on a wire rack.

Cream - to - The process where sugar and softened butter are beaten together with a wooden spoon, until the mixture is light, pale and well blended. This process may also be carried out with a hand held mixer or in a food processor.
