Biscuits Cakes Gluten Wheat Dairy free Eggless Wales British
Traditionally served with breakfast and cooked in bacon fat
instead of vegetable oil.
100g/4oz fresh or tinned Laverbread
38g/1˝oz Fine Oatmeal
2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1. Place the laver bread and oatmeal in a bowl, mix well then shape into
six cakes about 5cm/2-inches wide and just under 2.5cm/1-inch thick.
2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan, gently slide the cakes into the pan
and fry for around 2 minutes on each side.
3. Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot.
