A Weekday Menu Recipe



Roquefort Steaks   HT   MC  20mins


Serves 4       Hot Beef Meat Main Course Eggless

100g/4oz Roquefort cheese, crumbled
50g/2oz Softened Butter
1 Chilli, deseeded and finely chopped
4 x 175g /6oz Steaks e.g. Rump, Fillet, Rib Eye
Black Pepper


1. Preheat the grill to hot. In a small mixing bowl, mix together the cheese, butter and chilli until well blended.

2. Season the steaks with pepper, drizzle with a very little oil and cook under the grill for 2 5 minutes on each side depending on how well done you like your meat.

3. To serve transfer the steaks to warmed serving plates and immediately top each with the butter.

Accompaniments           Grilled Tomatoes, Fried Mushrooms, Watercress

Dessert                               Hasty Pudding
