Monterey Meat Loaf HT CD MC 100mins
4 Hot Cold Beef Herbs Main Course
500g/1 lb Minced
1 large Egg
Salt and Pepper
100g/4oz Fresh Breadcrumbs
1 Onion, chopped
1 teasp Dried Mixed Herbs
100g/4oz Monterey Jack Cheese
1. Preheat the
oven to 180F, 350F, gas Mark 4 and line a loaf tin with parchment or
2. Put mince,
breadcrumbs, water, onion, egg, mixed herbs, salt and pepper into a bowl. Mix
3. Cut cheese into
12mm/1/2" squares and stir them through the meat mixture.
4. Turn the
mixture into the loaf tin and bake for approx 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
5. To serve -
invert onto a serving platter and serve hot or leave in the tin until cold.
